Costs

  • The training can be free if you’re registered with CITB and are eligible for funding via the CITB’s Skills and Training Fund.
  • Cost of course – £2500+VAT
  • A £50 deposit is required up-front to secure your place on the course. Whilst CITB are unable to refund the deposit in the event of funding being unavailable, the HBXL Skills Academy can reimburse you.

Delivery

How the course works

This course is delivered online with a dedicated Tutor via the Go To Webinar Platform.

You’ll meet with your tutor and co-learners live with video cameras on and can ask questions and interact, just as if you were in a classroom. All you need is a good internet connection and a quiet space.

Software required for this course (Estimating Software and Health and Safety software) will be provided free of charge throughout the course so you can complete your work.

  • Windows laptop/computer (for software package installation)
  • Broadband access
  • Video access i.e. Microsoft Teams/Zoom for training and meetings with course tutor
  • Construction experience preferred but not essential.

How long is the course?

  • 5 weeks remote online – 1pm – 5:30pm (including 30 minute break) Wednesdays and Fridays (Good Friday Public Holiday taken into account)
  • 40 guided learning hours
  • 40 hours of independent learning
